Panels are requested to consider submitting at least one, but no more than three, of their recent projects for the yearly Remap Awards competition. You do not need to specify which award you are applying for, as projects are considered for any award which can apply to them.
Any entry for an award must meet the following conditions:-
- The submission must be received by 25 Dec 2009.
- The job must be a completed Remap job by a recognised Remap panel.
- There must be a record of the job (start and delivery for example) traceable in panel minutes.
- It must represent an original design or significant adaptation, not merely a minor modification to a commercial aid.
- It must have been in use by a client, not a device, however novel, which is still looking for an application.
If an apparently suitable commercial device was available please explain why you chose not to use it but to build a bespoke item instead.
The Award Panel
Subject to their availability, the Award Panel normally comprises:
- if !supportLists > endif >Prof. Heinz Wolff (Chairman)
- if !supportLists > endif >Ms Sue Clements (Disabled Living Foundation)
- if !supportLists >Mr Bob Simmons (Engineering Council)
- if !supportLists >Prof. Percy Hammond (Trustee, Remap)

Procedure:
To enter for an award you can download a printable version of the entry form from the link at the bottom of this page or you can fill in the on line application by clicking HERE. (You can also ask Head Office to post you a copy if you prefer).
Whichever method you chose please remember that the Award Panel make their decision based only upon your submission so make sure you include appropriate drawings and/or photographs to support your entry and make sure the quality is as high as possible. It is advisable to pay careful attention to the project description, as judges sometimes struggle to understand how a device works from the description supplied. See here for some advice on photography of Remap projects.
Any panel may enter up to three projects for an award in any year.
Entries will be judged by an Award Panel whose decision shall be final.
